Stephanie Coleman (16th Ward). "So that’s our store. I don’t care who holds the lease." CHICAGO — When the Twins dropped behind by three runs in the first inning with Cy Young Award runner-up Dylan Cease on the mound, it looked as if they were in trouble. But the Twins, who were nearly no-hit by the righthander last year, actually managed to claw their way back against him, using RBI doubles from Carlos Correa and Byron Buxton and Nick Gordon’s second home run of the year to do so.No, it was the leaky White Sox bullpen that the Twins had their problems with in a 6-4 loss to Chicago on Wednesday night at Guaranteed Rate Field. With the score 4-4, the Twins loaded the bases in the seventh inning with no outs, putting themselves in a prime position to break the game open. Two plays at the plate — both Ryan Jeffers and Max Kepler were thrown out on ground balls in the infield — and a Trevor Larnach strikeout later, the momentum had heavily shifted. The White Sox responded in their half of the seventh inning, using an Eloy Jiménez single, which brought home Andrew Benintendi,...

Aaron Gordon has slayed more heavyweights than Joe Louis, more wizards than Voldemort, more dragons than Euron Greyjoy. Before Gordon waltzed into his nightmares with arm extended, hand in his face, the last time Kevin Durant missed at least nine three-point attempts in the NBA Playoffs was (checks notes) five stinking Aprils ago. The number of times KD had misfired 10 times from 3-point land in a postseason game before Gordon and the Nuggets put down the clamps in Game 2? Zero.“There were a few possessions when I’m watching that film (Tuesday) and I freeze it and you have Bruce (Brown) and Aaron Gordon — I mean, I’m gonna frame it and put it in my house,” Nuggets coach Michael Malone gushed Wednesday at Ball Arena before the team flew to Phoenix for Game 3 of their Western Conference semifinal series with the Suns.“It’s like a work of art (on) a double contest.
