VALLETTA, Malta (AP) — Talks on Ukraine’s plan for peace kicked off in Malta on Saturday, with the participation of more than 65 countries — but not Russia, Maltese and Ukrainian officials said. The two-day meeting of national security delegates is the third round of such talks in recent months. Ukraine sees them as an opportunity to win support for President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s 10-point peace plan from countries across the globe, especially as the conflict in the Middle East risks shifting the focus away from Ukraine. Russia has dismissed the initiative as biased and refused to attend the meetings.“Ukraine’s diplomatic efforts are paying off, as international support for the Ukrainian peace formula is growing,” The head of the Ukrainian presidential office, Andriy Yermak, wrote on X — formerly known as Twitter — ahead of the opening session, stressing the strong international attendance. The initial round of talks in Copenhagen in June saw just 15 participants, rising to 43 f...DP World Tour Commercial Bank Qatar Masters Scores

Oskar Steen is getting another chance in the National Hockey League – and he’s earned it.Steen enjoyed a solid training camp but, with the number of bottom six candidates, the 25-year-old AHL veteran was sent back to Providence after clearing waivers. But he did not pout about it, as so often happens with players who are close to making the cut but wind up getting sent down. He notched 3-2-5 in five games and was arguably Providence’s best forward. So with Milan Lucic on LTIR with a foot injury and Jakub Lauko out for at least week with an ugly eye injury, Steen got the call to come up, bumping Jesper Boqvist – the first call-up – out of the lineup for the B’s Saturday tilt against the Detroit Red Wings at the Garden.“He had a really good camp. He was playing fast and going to hard areas, playing inside the dots. DETROIT (AP) — Jeep maker Stellantis has reached a tentative contract agreement with the United Auto Workers union that follows a template set earlier this week by Ford, two people with knowledge of the negotiations said Saturday. The deal, which still has to be ratified by members, leaves only General Motors without a contract with the union. The agreement could end a six-week strike by more than 14,000 workers at Stellantis assembly plants in Michigan and Ohio, and at parts warehouses across the nation.Like workers at Ford, the strikers at Stellantis are expected to take down their picket lines and start returning to work in the coming days, before 43,000 union members vote. The people, who asked not to be identified because they are not authorized to speak publicly about the talks, said most of the main points of the deal at Ford will carry over to Stellantis. The Ford pact includes 25% in general wage increases over the next 4 1/2 years for top assembly plant workers, with 11% comi...GOP presidential candidate Hutchinson must find a new campaign manager but vows to stay in the race
